Q: I am currently looking for some information on becoming an esthecian, such as wage, job avaliability, carrear paths and advancements within the industry. There are several trade publication that can give you resources and techncial information in the field of esthethics. You will be able to find them through the internet, Skin Inc., Dermascope Magazine, Day Spa Magazine.
The field of esthetics is a growing segment in the beauty field. There are several avenues you can take such as a technical trainer, working with a major cosmetic company,
medical esthetics ( working in Physcians office), hotels and resorts. The opportunities are available and exciting.
You also may want to contact your local beauty school for information on wages, and local carrer opportunities.
