| Q: I'm considering a career change from an commerical insurance account executive to a esthetician. I currently live in MN and will be moving to the Salt Lake City/Ogden, Utah area within the next year. Would I be better off going to the Minneapolis Aveda Institute as compared to another school in Utah or do salons/spa really even care about where you get your license? Thanks for your help!!! | A: Dear Amy,
Aveda school is a highly respected school. Both states require the same amount of hours, 600. You may want to call upon the UTAH Instutute of Aesthetics 801.485.5935 or UAA School of Aesthetics 801.467.7225. If you are staying in MN for another year or so, don't let the time go by, attend the Aveda school. That would be my thinking. In most cases, potential employers that you are seeking, do in
fact, look at your education and where you attended. |
