Look Younger With Facial Massage
Aging is inevitable, but aging gracefully is a choice.
You do not necessarily need to get plastic surgery or get Botox injections to look your best as you enter your 40’s, your 50’s and beyond. Help yourself look your absolute best with facial massage techniques.
Asians have known for centuries that facial massage helps improve circulation. This brings blood flow to the surface of the skin which improves its plumpness and its clarity. Today, there are more skin spas that are reverting towards ancient facial massage techniques than ever before.
You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars on a professional face massage. There are plenty of techniques and products (like the VIJUVE Anti Aging Face Massager)that you can employ on your own daily. Your skin will look younger, more radiant and it will glow. There are just a few things to know before starting. Check out our review of hand held massagers for more options.
Eventually, gravity has its way with everyone. Yet, premature aging and the visible effects of aging do not have to be super obvious. With the help of a good skin care cleansing and moisturizing routine (and maybe a good facial steamer), you will have the foundation for youthful looking skin. Add to that an SPF every day, and you will look good for decades!
It is also never too soon or too late to take advantage of facial massage. Are you ready to look younger? Here are some easy and effective face massage exercises to use every day. You may use them every morning and night, or you might choose only to use them a few days each week.
Be sure to use a good oil such as vitamin E oil for your massage base. Never rub your skin with bare fingers as that is too harsh for the delicate skin on the face.
One of the first things to do is to drain the lymphatic glands around the face. This helps improve circulation and clears out toxins. Start by crossing your hands with your palms facing you. Gently swipe at your collarbone area outwards in swift but light motions. Do this for a count of ten.
Next, take your hands in the same fashion and move them gently in downwards strokes along your neck. Again, do it for a count of ten. Now, place your curved fingertips alongside your mouth area. Swipe or flick the area for a count of 10. Move your fingers up to your undereye area and tap each gently with your ring finger for five counts.
These simple motions will engage the lymph glands in the face and help them release toxins. You might feel some sensations in the back of your throat as you do these exercises. This is a sign you are releasing those toxins so just clear your throat, and drink some water.
Doing these exercises first thing in the morning is a great way to prep your skin for the day. It is also a good way to get rid of puffiness on the face and under the eyes. Repeating them as you relax on a bath tub pillow is also very relaxing. You will be getting immediate benefits as well as future benefits. Your skin will glow and you will look younger all without surgery!
